21°CTall ‘Aran is a hoppin’ city in northern Syria that’s got a lot to offer. It’s also known as Ḩalab, which is pretty cool because it sounds like “holla” and makes you want to dance.
The people here are friendly and always ready to chat, whether you speak Arabic or not. There are lots of shops and markets selling everything from foods to clothes, so you’re sure to find something you like. And if you’re feeling hungry, there’s no shortage of restaurants serving up tasty traditional Syrian dishes, like kebabs and hummus.
But the real highlight of Tall ‘Aran is its historic sites. The city is home to some of the most incredible ancient ruins in the world. There’s the Citadel of Aleppo, a massive fortress built over a thousand years ago that’s been the site of many battles and has survived earthquakes and other natural disasters. And then there’s the Great Mosque of Aleppo, which is one of the oldest and most important mosques in the world.
If you’re interested in history, you’ll definitely want to take a tour of these incredible ancient sites. But even if you’re not, you can still appreciate the sheer majesty and beauty of these ancient structures. It’s amazing to think that people built these things by hand so long ago, and they’re still standing strong today.
